I am grateful for sleep. Nothing like the moment your head hits the pillow, eyes close and rejuvenation begins. Here’s to hoping my busy toddler let’s me get a full night of that precious rejuvenation.

I’m grateful for those men and women who have and are currently serving in military service. I’m also grateful to the families of those service members. We owe you such a debt of gratitude. To my dad, my grandfathers, my uncles and cousin thank you for serving your country and enriching the lives of our family. I’m an extremely grateful Air Force brat.

Today I celebrate the birth of the woman who gave me life. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!
My mom is one of God’s greatest blessings to me. I’m so grateful for her love, her prayers, her encouragement, and her listening ear. I’m grateful for her example of a godly woman, wife and mother. I grateful that though we’re miles apart she is only a phone call away.

I’m grateful for those who fought before me so that I have the right to vote this Election Day. I’m also grateful this election cycle is coming to an end. I can do without the continuous TV ads and the contentious back and forth of the candidates. And I’m grateful that my hope is in Jesus because no matter who wins, He is still in control.

I”m so grateful for my husband, who at 6:30 every morning, prays with us and then leaves to go to a job that pays the bills but offers minimum fulfillment. I’m grateful for his resolve, his devotion to his family and the great things I know God has in store for him.

I’m grateful for children who don’t know the difference between a weekday and the weekend and wake up at the crack of dawn either way, it means they are alive, healthy and happy to see a new day. I’m also grateful for Saturday morning cartoons and cereal that keep them occupied while I steal a few more minutes of sleep.
